Membership Terms and Conditions
Welcome to Wiltshire Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy. By being an active team member, you agree to our terms and conditions.
1. Member Declaration
As a member, I hereby waive any claim against all personnel associated to Wiltshire Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy.
2. Membership Agreement
By signing up for a membership, the member agrees to abide by the terms and conditions set forth by our service provider agreement.
I declare that all information provided by myself are correct and true to the best of my knowledge.
3. Membership Types and fees
Membership types and fees are outlined in the membership agreement and are subject to change with 30 day’s notice.
4. Use of Facilities
Members must adhere to Wiltshire Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy’s Code of Conduct and rules at all times.
Proper martial arts attire must be worn during training sessions inline with Wiltshire Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy Uniform Etiquette.
Wiltshire Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy reserves the right to decline membership application or to suspend/cancel at any time and refuse service to any member violating rules or engaging in inappropriate behaviour.
5. Health and Safety
Members must declare that they are physically and mentally fit enough to undertake martial arts training.
Members are responsible for their own health and must inform instructors of any medical conditions and/or injuries.
Wiltshire Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy is not liable for any injuries sustained while using the facilities or participating in any training activities.
Members authorise any trained personnel to perform first aid if required.
6. Personal Belongings
Wiltshire Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings.
7. Class Schedule and Attendance
Class schedules are subject to change. Wiltshire Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy will notify members of any changes. • Members are encouraged to arrive on time for classes.
Classes may not run on bank holidays and during school holiday periods.
8. Licence Fee
Members agree to a licence fee paid per member and renewed annually.
Licence fee’s are subject to change.
9. Policy
Members are aware of Wiltshire Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy’s policies and can view these on our website.
10. Privacy and Data Protection
Wiltshire Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy will collect and store personal data in accordance with applicable privacy laws.
Members’ personal information will not be shared with third parties without consent, except as required by law.
11. Amendments to Terms and Conditions
Wiltshire Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time.
Members will be notified of any changes to terms and conditions at least 30 days in advance.
Code of Conduct
Here at Wiltshire Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy we pride ourselves on providing the very best Martial Arts experience in a professional, safe and modern environment placing great emphasis on students personal development, not only through the learning of Jiu Jitsu techniques, but also through character building by abiding by a code of conduct. Using physical training and technical skill, physical and mental fitness become synonymous with being a part of the team at Wiltshire Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy. Our code of conduct is based on mutual respect between instructors and students. All team members of Wiltshire Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy are expected to show the same respect inside of the training area as within our communities by embracing the Jiu Jitsu lifestyle. As a team member of Wiltshire Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy you will be representing both yourself and the academy as role model’s for society by promoting good behaviour, attitude and character within your community. All members of Wiltshire Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy will not behave in any manner inside the training area or within the community that will reflect in a negative way towards the academy or team mates.
Training Etiquette

Bow when entering and leaving the Dojo, and before entering and exiting the training area.

Keep a respectful posture at all times in the training area.

Do not enter the training area until invited by the instructor.

Classes begin with a formal bow to the instructor and Master Carlos with students lining up in descending grade order.

Classes end with a formal bow to the instructor and Master Carlos with students lining up in descending grade order.

During class, when the instructor is teaching, students must sit or stand in good posture and pay full attention.

If you are late for class, wait patiently on the side of the training area for permission to enter from the instructor.

If you need to leave the training area or class early, you must ask permission from the instructor.

Bow to your partner before and after any live training rounds

Talking should be kept to a minimum level during class and should relate to the class subject.

No coaching from outside the training area. Coaching should only be from a qualified instructor.

Absolutely no foul language inside the Dojo.

Keep fingernails and toenails short and clean for everyone’s safety.

All students and instructor’s must wear approved uniforms

Uniforms must be kept clean at all time. A dirty uniform is a sign of disrespect.

It is mandatory to wear underwear underneath the Gi pants and a rash guard underneath the Gi jacket.

Uniform must be worn at all times inside the training area.

When tying the uniform, students must face the outside of the training area or from a kneeling position.

The belt represents your progress and is a part of your uniform. Keep it on.

Refer to none Black Belt instructor’s as “Coach”.

Refer to Black Belt instructor’s as “Professor”.

All metal objects, jewellery, piercings and any other items should be removed.

No shoes, food, drink or mobile phones inside the training area.

All students and instructor’s must wear shoe’s or sandal’s when walking outside of the training area.
